A summer in the Building and Systems Engineering group in Atlanta, automating maintenance data handling and asset-record validation on the enterprise asset management platform behind the sorting facilities.

Three pieces of work on the same platform. I fixed a character-encoding bug in a user-facing script, proving the change in a test script before touching the original. I replaced a weekly routine that people ran by hand, querying the database and uploading the generated files, with a shell script and Friday cron on the Maximo Linux server, tested locally then staged with production credentials (ready to launch by end of internship). And I extended a Maximo script to auto-assign asset failure codes from component type via a relationship table.
